Flying blind
I currently have neither home phone nor internet access, thanks in large part to an incredible and ongoing screw-up on the part of a bank. If you're trying to reach me, please be patient. I use the internet access at the public library when I can. Or, if you're someone I've given my cell phone number, you can try that, as long as I still have electricity at home with which to keep it charged. Which may not be for very long at all.
Edited to add:
Well, I still don't have the money that would have been subsistence and bill-paying money for last month, this month, and probably part of next month. A bank initiated this mess by repeatedly botching a wire transfer of funds into my account -- a failure for which they have yet to acknowledge responsibility. So now the cheque is coming via mail, and I've been waiting a week and a half for it already. I do have the phone service back, and some semblance of Internet and email, but the power has already been cut off once, and may well be again today. I'm already having the most difficult year of my writing career financially and health-wise (the latter impacts the former), and this was the last thing I needed.

I bet. To quote Ian McDonald 'This is cock, this is truly cock'.
You have my sympathy. I wish there was something I could do other than provide sympathy.

The cheque finally showed up. The bank had promised not to put a hold on it -- they have verification that it's a valid cheque -- but they're holding it nevertheless, until they receive confirmation from the U.S. bank that issued it that it's okay. That -should- only hold up my access to my money for another few days. One by one, we're knocking the road blocks down.
